VIDEO: Time out founder Tony Elliott on growth of title in Asia

Time Out was founded in 1968 with a mere US $ 110. Elliott initially planned publication as "a magazine for himself" featuring things was concerned.

According to Elliott he was going to call the magazine ' Where It at ' but changed his mind at the last minute and decided ' Time Out '.

Time Out, estimated 47 million dollars today, started in 1995, migrating online. Elliot notes that London's website currently is attracting up to two million unique visitors and 12 million page views monthly.

The free app in London and New York has generated nearly a quarter of a million downloads to date.

Elliott goes on to say that he doesn't see digital as a template other than printing. He explained that because of the unavailability of information, no matter what package is in.

"Digital is part of the spectrum of activity. Is part of a source of information and brand.I see Time Out as a company information, "he said.

Speaking of localized content in markets where you published the title, Elliott points to the Emirates where there is a low penetration into culture events and people just go to bars and restaurants ... He says that the starting point is the same, "is all about information and get the best from a particular city".

On its plans to expand the publication in Asia and in particular North Asia, Elliott mentions Korea as a market that is eager to enter soon rather than later. "We are not established in Korea alone. we need to do it with a partner, "he said.
