
The results of a recent study by Pew Internet mentioned in a report submitted on Search Engine Watch, should provide a heartening for those in search engine marketing industry.
A massive 92 percent of adult Internet users based in the United States uses search engines; It also found that 59 percent was using search engines on a daily basis.
Entitled "The Pew Research Center's Internet and American Life Project", the study was conducted earlier this year between the end of April and may.
Although the results may not come as a great surprise – doing research through the search engines has been the most popular use of the Internet since 2002, the year of the launch of Pew Internet – the scale of the figures represents significant growth.
Accessing email was found to be the second most popular use of the Internet with the participants in the study.
