Online publishers value travel brands most for online advertisingContent sites remain the most effective way for publishers to monetize their presence, with more than two-thirds (67 percent) of the editors citing them as major contributors to the revenues generated from affiliate marketing. This was followed by search engine marketing (32 percent) and voucher code sites (18 percent).

The research also reveals what the major concerns are for publishers when dealing with advertisers. The results reveal that the most important factor is ensuring that creatives are preserved to this day, a problem cited by 53 percent of publishers. The next biggest concern is about earnings per click, a payment model which shows how well it is performing an advertiser by measuring the average amount of Commission earned for each click generated for the brand. 45 percent of editors cited this as one of the key considerations when working with advertisers.
