AUSTIN, Texas, July 28, 2011/PRNewswire/--National Instruments (Nasdaq: NATI) today named veteran NI Ajit Gokhale as new vice president of product marketing, effective August 1, 2011. In his new role, Gokhale, who served most recently as the Director General for NI UK offices, France, Ireland and Portugal, will oversee product marketing for core platforms of National Instruments instrument control and data acquisition.
"During his 21 years with NI, Ajit has shown great creativity in our vision of the graphic design of guidance system at the enterprise level, product development and international sales and marketing," said Dr. James Truchard, President, CEO and cofounder of National Instruments. "Over the years, Ajit had a successful track record of defining strategic product roadmap as well as recruiting and developing strong teams."
In 2006, Gokhale took on a position of General Manager in Europe, where under his leadership his regions delivered record revenues and profits. During his term as National Instruments, Gokhale has set the strategic direction and influenced the development of the product lines of product key who contributed significant revenues and gross margins for the company. In addition, he has extensive experience working directly with customers NI to identify and provide solutions that meet their needs.
