St. Louis Post-Dispatch "Enterprise Rolls out new advertising campaign created by Cannonball"

Enterprise Rent-a-car has leveraged the local Cannonball Agency for the biggest change to its advertising campaign in decades.

Clayton-based Enterprise is to keep the tag line "we take" is used nationally since 1989, but it moves far from wrapped car that was in the middle of its ads.

Advertising agency based on Clayton Cannonball has created a new campaign, "The Enterprise Way," which focuses on customer service and the undertaking's heritage as a family business, entrepreneurial. Enterprise Holdings, parent company of the car rental agency, is owned by the family of founder Jack Taylor.

"The new campaign tells what Enterprise represents," said Steve Hunt, chief creative officer of Cannonball. "Transaction is not renting a car."

Auto wrapped not be withdrawn, but will be parked in the garage for now, brand, Director of Enterprise Jim Stoeppler.

Two 30-second TV spot that launched Monday, star employees, Enterprise Rent a car, which they were cast after a nationwide search.

"We issued an invitation to cast and finished with more than 250 willing people," said Pat Farrell, vice President of marketing and communication in Enterprise companies.

This list has been reduced to about 50 employees who appear in ads. Only employees who have worked at least five years at Enterprise were eligible, and were paid wages scala actors for their time. Six commercials were filmed in Los Angeles in January and edited in St. Louis.

"We have stressed from the outset, however, that we do not want them to quit their day jobs," joked Farrell.

Enterprise is leaning heavily on social media with the new campaign. Outtakes from commercials and other interviews with employees are published on the company's Facebook page and on YouTube, flickr and Twitter.
