2ergo, John Stevens, mobile marketing, multichannel retail, loyaltyRETAILERS ADMIT THEY MUST DO MORE TO SUPPORT MULTICHANNEL OFFERcustomers, however, respondents were also very clear in outlining their vision of how mobile marketing must be deployed to achieve this goal.Of respondents, 42% use mobile marketing to directly drive FootFall in the store. Building customer loyalty and new customer acquisition, came joint second (24%). Mobile commerce was the third biggest priorities with 11%.

Ramp of their multi-channel marketing

John Stevens, Joint Managing Director of 2ergo, he said, Retailers recognize the need to ramp up their multi-channel marketing strategies and adopting a strategy is the key. Mobile marketing is a tool that can allow this to happen.  Despite the importance of a multi-channel approach, physical stores still remain the most important channel with 60% of respondents stating that retail brick and Malta is their top priority.  The good news for users of mobile marketing is that mobile technology can be used to support the great multi-channel distribution with the acquisition of new customers, driving FootFall in your store, the existing customer service and loyalty building.  Retailers recognize the opportunity and I think the 2011 will be the year that for SMEs and large organisations will implement mobile strategies full end-to-end to achieve all these goals and more.
